After
the conference, the Student Fellows shared the following comments with NVLP:
I had an amazing time! The program came into my spiritual and academic
lives at a perfect, beautiful moment. Thank you so much!
This was the most rewarding conference that I have ever attended. I
felt like I had a say in the process.
I absolutely loved meeting the elders and the closing ceremony was beautiful.
It brought tears to my eyes.
Our meeting with Dr. Dorothy Height was one of the most amazing experiences
of my life, especially after watching the documentary.
The 2003 conference is being held at Howard University June 1-7th 2003, and
will include workshops led by Dr. Camille Cosby, President and Cofounder
of NVLP, and Dr. Gayle Pemberton, Chair, African American Studies Program
