NVLP 2003 Class of VHFP Fellows
Twenty-two
students from partnering institutions were chosen as Fellows of the 2003 class
of the Visionary Heritage Fellowship Program. As part of the application process,
each Fellow selected a Local Visionary whom they will research and interview
during the course of the program.
This years Fellows have selected exceptional Local Visionaries, all
of whom have made significant contributions to their individual community
and to the larger African American community through their accomplishments.
They include civil rights activists, members of faith communities, teachers,
performers, and leaders in business and industry.
